SIMON F. HAEDER, PhD, MPA
Simon F. Haeder is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy in the School of Public Policy at The Pennsylvania State University. The School brings together expertise from across the University to educate the next generation of problem solvers and leaders. Simon is also a Fellow in the Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Program, a national leadership development program supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to equip teams of researchers and community partners in applying research to solve real community problems. He was also part of the inaugural cohort of the American Enterprise Institute's Emerging Poverty Scholars program.

His most recent work has focused on such issues as the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, provider networks, the opioid epidemic, Medicaid work requirements, school-based health, vaccination requirements, and regulatory policymaking.
He is also a frequent contributor to the The Conversation, the Charleston-Gazette Mail, and the Register-Herald. His articles have been picked up by such publishers as Newsweek, Fortune, RealClearHealth, Salon, truthout, Raw Story, Huffington Post, Business Insider, the Chicago Tribune, USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, and the Associated Press.
